69. The Transient
After the 2005 Cromagnon tragedy in which 192 teenagers tragically perished in a nightclub fire, the Argentine rock groups/concerts have fought to gain respect. One classic place to rock out is located in San Telmo where Argentine bands have continued to do their thing.
Balcarce 460
Tel: 4342-7060

70. Sundays at the Soccer Field
This is deal for those that say they detest the authentic national sport. In the afternoon, you can go kick around the ball and try to score a goal playing against your friends. Imagine a stadium surrounding you full of spectators. It's impossible to describe with words how a goal would feel with 40,000 thousand people watching.

71. Off-Corrientes
For those who think that the theatre can truly make a difference, the Off-Broadway theatre circuit offers an alternative. Also, check out what Espacio Callejon, Puerta Roja, El Kafka, and El Camarin de las Musas are showing on Corrientes Avenue.
Espacio Callej—n: Humahuaca 3759, Tel: 4862-1167
Puerta Roja: Lavalle 3636, Tel: 4867-4689
El Kafka: Lambare 866, Tel:(54-11) 4862-5439
El Camarin: Mario Bravo 960, Tel: 4862-0655

72. Dance with Me
Some say that electronic music is dead. Some say that the moment has passed where you can dance all night like an idiot to technology. It doesn't matter. It's still cool to go to the Woodstock-like concert at Creamfields in November with a group of friends, and why not, strangers. Take an umbrella and rain boots because, without a doubt, it will rain.

73. Theatre in the Tita Merello
This complex, which is named after one of the greatest Argentine artists, is dedicated exclusively to the Argentine cinema, although occasionally they have other Spanish works. Best to go with a student ID (or with a senior citizens card).
Suipacha 442
Tel: 4322-1195

74. Verdi and Puccini
The Avenida Theatre is one of the best places for musical shows in Buenos Aires. Someday, it potentially could compete with some of the more critically-acclaimed opera houses in the world.
Ave. de Mayo 1222
Tel: 4381-0662

75. Outdoor Movies
When Spring has sprung, the movie theatres can feel a bit claustrophobic for those with sensitive souls. Throughout the city, there are large screens where people can enjoy Argentine films with some croissants (medialunas) at their side, but most importantly, under the stars.

76. San Martin Theatre
This old standby on Corrientes Avenue boasts the most selective theatre schedule in Buenos Aires. On the weekends, pay close attention to the New Cycle offered at the San Martin Cultural Center.
Ave. Corrientes 1530
Tel: 0-800-333-5254

77. Luna Park
It's the temple where both Argentine and international rock bands converge when they perform in Buenos Aires. Visit it, at least once, and imagine some of the more historical political rallies that took place there in the past.
Ave. Corrientes and Bouchard
Tel: 5279-5279

78. Art House Films
Independent and Art House films dropped off of the movie listings a long time ago. However, there is one place that was saved by fanatic moviegoers. Who wants to wait until a movie festival in order to check out new foreign directors, documentaries, and Argentine experimental films? Discounts are honored with a Student ID.
Ave. Corrientes 2046
Tel: 4953-5405

79. Dance at Radio Studio
The Cumbia Temple in Constitucion welcomes more than two thousand people each week who just want to have fun, dance, and drink cheap beer.
O'Brien 1232

80. Doing the Figure Eight
For many people who grew up in Buenos Aires, the mythical ice skating rink in Colegiales can bring back memories. Take your significant other and try to keep from laughing at each other as you both struggle to keep from falling.
Cabildo 20
Tel: 4773-0236/4771-7690
